Traffic Safety and Enforcement Update for Ward 11

ree

Councillor Tadeson continues to work closely with Hamilton Police Service to address ongoing traffic safety concerns across Ward 11. Recent correspondence from Division 3 leadership confirms that your complaints are being heard and action is being taken.

Current Enforcement Activity

Hamilton Police Service has deployed officers specifically to the Glanbrook/Binbrook area and the Hannon area to address traffic concerns. The Traffic Safety Unit is also regularly notified of community complaints to support enforcement efforts.

In October 2025 alone, traffic complaints were received for nine different locations across Ward 11, including:

·         Hendershot Road

·         Cemetery Road

·         Nebo Road

·         Haldibrook Road

·         Trinity Church Road

·         Fall Fair Way

·         Fletcher Road

·         Southbrook Road

·         Reports of ATVs and trucks driving in farmers' fields along hydro corridors

Enforcement Results

For just a single example, as of November 2025, officers have issued 163 tickets on or around Nebo Road alone this year. These tickets include speeding violations, bylaw infractions, equipment charges, and commercial motor vehicle offences.

Police have responded to over 2,200 calls for service in the Glanbrook/Binbrook area as of August 2025, with more than 900 of those being proactive patrols initiated by officers.

Looking Ahead

Councillor Tadeson will continue advocating for increased staffing and new technology that would help Hamilton Police Service better address traffic safety concerns in Ward 11. As the 2026 police budget discussions proceed, he remains committed to supporting measures that improve enforcement capacity and road safety for all residents, and will keep strongly advocating for increased staffing resources for our roads and in our neighbourhoods.

Your Role

Traffic enforcement requires officers to witness violations in progress and report directly to the please as the incidents happen. If you observe dangerous driving, speeding, or other traffic violations, please report them to Hamilton Police Service:

Emergency: 911

Non-emergency: 905-546-4925

Your reports help police identify problem areas and deploy resources effectively. Continue to share your concerns with our office, and we will ensure they reach the appropriate HPS leadership.
