Dear Residents,

I want to provide you with an important update on the ongoing Dickenson Road improvement project as it enters its next phase.

Upcoming Dickenson Road Closure Progress

As the construction team continues making progress along Dickenson Road, the City will be implementing the next rolling closure beginning Thursday, April 10, 2025. This phase will affect the section between Miles Road and Upper James Street as they continue installing new sanitary sewers, watermains, and reconstructing the road surface. This particular section is expected to take approximately 12 weeks to complete.

Maintaining Access to Your Homes

We've carefully planned the construction sequence to ensure you can still reach your homes:

  • If you live at #7011 Dickenson Road, your home will remain accessible via Miles Road

  • If you live between #7110 and #8531 Dickenson Road, your home will remain accessible via Upper James Street

Supporting You Through Each Phase

As we move forward with this rolling closure:

  • A temporary single-lane reduction will be in place from Monday, April 7 to Wednesday, April 9 before the full closure begins

  • Our contractors will continue collecting and relocating your waste and recycling to central pickup points - please keep labeling your bins with your address

  • Snow removal services will continue uninterrupted as needed

  • Please continue to plan for some traffic adjustments on nearby streets
