Great news for Hamilton residents!
The City of Hamilton has successfully restored its askcity@hamilton.ca email service, providing a convenient alternative to phone calls for non-urgent inquiries and general questions. This is another step towards normalcy after the ransomware attack that disrupted various city services nearly four months ago.
Residents can now easily reach out to the city via email, reducing the need to call the front desk. While the city continues to work on restoring other affected services, such as the public library system, HSR, and licensing portals, this email service restoration is a welcome development.
Although the city cannot provide a timeline for full restoration of all affected systems, the community can rely on the askcity@hamilton.ca email for assistance and information. Please visit the City of Hamilton's official website for the latest updates on the ongoing cybersecurity recovery efforts.
