Canada Day Closure - What's Open and What's Closed
All City of Hamilton administrative offices will be closed on Monday, July 1 and will reopen on Tuesday, July 2.
For city emergencies involving roads, water mains, sewer systems, public health and safety issues, please call 905-546-2489 (CITY).
Highlights
There will be no green bin, blue box, yard waste, bulk waste, or garbage pick-up on Monday, July 1. Pick up will occur one day later. Waste must be at the curb by 7 am.
Community Recycling Centres are closed Monday, July 1 and will reopen on Tuesday, July 2 at 8 am.
The Tropical Greenhouse at Gage Park will be closed Monday, July 1.
All Hamilton Civic Museums will be closed on Monday, July 1.
Dundurn National Historic Site is presenting the Canada Day Military Tattoo on July 1, 5 to 6:30 pm.
All HPL branches are closed closed Sunday, June 30 and Monday, July 1. Regular hours resume Tuesday, July 2.
The Housing Services office at 350 King Street East will be closed on Monday, July 1.
All City of Hamilton Recreation Centres and Arenas will be closed on Monday, July 1. Outdoor Pools will be open for regular hours on July 1.
HSR Holiday Service
Monday, July 1 schedule:
Buses will operate a Sunday service level, with the last trips from downtown at approximately 10 pm.
Trans-Cab service will align with HSR Sunday schedule.
HSR myRide and Route 18 Waterdown Mountaineer will not be running.
