Honouring Our Community Champions: 30th Annual Senior of the Year Awards – Nominations Now Open!

Do you know a senior in our community who goes above and beyond to make life better for others? Now is the time to recognize their contributions!

The City of Hamilton has officially opened nominations for the 30th Annual Senior of the Year Awards, celebrating older adults who volunteer their time, skills, and heart to enhance our city's social, cultural, or civic life.

• Nominations Opened: April 28, 2025

• Deadline to Submit: June 30, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.

• In-Person Options: Nomination packages are also available at all Municipal Service Centres, Hamilton Public Library branches, and Recreation/Senior Centres across the city.

We're proud to spread the word in Ward 11 and encourage residents to take this opportunity to thank and honour our incredible seniors—those who often quietly make a world of difference in our lives.

Award recipients will be recognized at a special ceremony in October 2025.
