Railway Safety Week: September 21–27, 2026

Railway Safety Week is an important reminder to stay alert and make safe choices around railway tracks and crossings.
Whether you are driving, walking or cycling, always obey railway signs, signals and crossing gates. Never attempt to go around lowered gates, never stop on railway tracks, and keep a safe distance from trains and rail infrastructure.
Trains can take a significant distance to come to a complete stop, so taking a few extra seconds at a crossing can make all the difference.
Stop. Look. Listen. Stay safe around railway tracks.
