Councillor Brenda Johnson will be holding two local Community Ward 11 Meetings to keep you informed about the 2011 City Budget and Area Rating.
Wednesday, April 6th, 2011 – 7:00pm at the Glanbrook Municipal Office, 4280 Binbrook Road, Binbrook, next to the Arena and Soccer Fields. and Tuesday, April 12th, 2011 – 7:00pm at the Stoney Creek Municipal Office, 777 Hwy #8, at the corner of Jones Rd & Hwy #8, Stoney Creek.
Rob Rossini, General Manager of Finance will attend and give an overview of how this years budget may impact you. Both he and Councillor Johnson will respond to all your questions and concerns as well. As you know, the annual municipal budget determines the mill rate used for property taxes. The mill rate is applied to the assessed value of your home and that is how your property taxes are determined.
If you are unable to attend the meeting in your area, you are welcome to attend the other. The budget has not been approved yet and Councillor Johnson is looking for your thoughts and input.
