Neighbourhood Watch Community Meeting for Ward 11 Winona Residents will be on Tuesday, June 20th, starting at 6:30pm, at the Stoney Creek Municipal Building, 777 Hwy #8 @ Jones Rd.
The Deputy Police Chief and Area Superintendent will be in attendance to present the statistics for the areas as well as give an overview of their enforcement.
Given the recent theft from autos in the Winona area Councillor Johnson would also like to remind you to report any and all issues or concerns to the Police. Please report everything (regardless of value), a break in, crime or mischief of any nature needs to be brought to the attention or the Police, if they don’t know about it, they can’t respond. If you have made a report and have not had a response from the Police within a reasonable time frame, please let me know and I will contact the Police about it.
In regular discussions with the Police, The councillor is being advised that they are aware of the thefts from autos and have officers working on it. Unfortunately many residents do not report minor incidents and that isn’t helping the Police with their investigations. They need to know what is happening and what the patterns are so they can respond accordingly.
As always, should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact Councillor Johnson at 905-546-4513 or email Brenda.Johnson@hamilton.ca or web www.brendajohnson.ca and twitter @CouncillorB
