In June, 2016, Ward 11 will have 2 locations for Community input as part of the City of Hamilton Ward Boundary Review.
June 23rd, 2016 from 6-9pm at the Winona Community Centre, 255 Winona Road, Winona
June 29th, 2016 from 6-9pm at the Binbrook Agricultural Hall, 2600 Hwy 56, Village of Binbrook
The public consultations will be ‘open house’ format where attendees, at the start of the session, can listen to a short presentation (optional) regarding possible approaches to defining Hamilton’s ward boundaries and then circulate, review detailed display boards and have one-on-one conversations with members of the consulting team. The presentation is considered optional because attendees will receive an information piece upon entry that will provide the same information provided in the presentation. And as indicated, the consulting team will be on hand throughout the three-hour open house to dialogue with residents and answer questions. This open house approach gives residents more flexibility with respect to their time.
Residents may also provide their input into the review online. Starting Monday, a feedback form can be found at www.hamilton.ca/wardboundaryreview and will be available to residents until July 8.
Also there is an interim report. As mentioned at the June 1 GIC, this document is intended to serve as a reference guide for residents as they consider the presented ward boundary options. This will be available to residents on the web address noted in above paragraph and at the public consultations.
