Ward 11 Roads getting Double Surface Treatment (Tar & Chip)

The list below shows the roads to be done this summer.

1. South Townline Rd, from Eighth Rd E to Ninth Rd E

2. Hendershot Rd. from Golf Club to Regional rd 20

3. Woodburn rd from Golf Club to Guyatt

4. Harrison rd from Kirk rd to Hall rd.

5. Chippewa Rd E from Ferris Rd to Highway #6

Construction is scheduled to commence on or about June 11, 2012, with completion September 2012 weather permitting. Not all roads will be done at the same time. The contractor will be delivering a letter to the residets affected a few days before the project starts.

The work will involve road repairs followed by Double Surface Treatment application, (Tar and Chip), You may experience some inconveniences such as noise, dust, and restricted traffic movement. Every effort will be made to do the work in a timely manner and to keep any inconvenience to a minimum. We ask for your patience during this period.

For the duration of the project, the City of Hamilton on-site inspector will be made available to explain the sequence of work and make note of any anticipated problems during construction.
