The City's 2025 grass cutting program is currently underway across rural roadside, urban boulevard, and expressway areas, with operations scheduled through November 7th.

Current Status for Ward 11:

Ward 11 East (East of Trinity Church Road)

  • ✅ First cut cycle: Completed late July

  • 🔄 Second cut cycle: Started August 20th

Ward 11 South (West of and including Trinity Church Road)

  • ✅ First cut cycle: Completed late July

  • 📅 Second cut cycle: Starting September 2nd

Program Overview

The rural roadside mowing program experienced a delayed start this year, beginning in June rather than the originally planned May timeline due to contractor transitions. To maintain service levels, the City added a third contractor in August.

Weather conditions have also played a role in timing adjustments. The warmer, drier conditions this season slowed grass growth compared to typical wetter years, allowing for some flexibility in scheduling while ensuring all safety and maintenance standards are met.

Safety Priority

Throughout the cutting season, the City continues to prioritize road safety and sightline maintenance across all areas.

The program remains on track to deliver the usual level of service to Ward 11 residents, with all areas receiving proper maintenance before the winter season.

For specific inquiries about the mowing program, residents can contact the City at (905) 546-2489.
