If you live near Twenty Road East in the Turner Park area, you'll be receiving a notice in your mailbox about a proposed residential development.
What's Being Proposed: A planning firm is preparing an application for a 20-hectare residential subdivision at 7700 Twenty Road East (near Turner Park). The proposal includes a range of housing types and would extend Upper Wentworth Street from its current end down to Twenty Road.
Public Open House: The developer is hosting a virtual community information session on either November 26 or 27 in the evening. Details will be in the mailed notice.
Who's Being Notified: Residents within the notification area (including neighborhoods near Turner Park and along Twenty Road East) will receive direct mail notification. This includes homes in both Ward 11 and Ward 13, as the property sits right on the ward boundary.
Why It Matters: This is an urban boundary expansion application, meaning it proposes development on land currently outside Hamilton's urban area. These applications require thorough review and community input.
I'll be attending the public session and want to hear from residents who will be directly affected. Watch your mail for the official notice with meeting details, or contact my office if you have questions.
