Upcoming Construction and Road Closures – Dickenson Road Area

The City of Hamilton, in partnership with Technicore Underground Inc., is continuing major underground and roadway infrastructure upgrades as part of Contract C15-11-22 (HSW). This work includes sewer installation, watermain improvements, and full road reconstruction. Construction is ongoing and is expected to be substantially complete by November 2026, weather permitting.
To support these activities, the following temporary road closures will be in effect.
Stage 1 – Temporary Road Closure
(COMPLETE)
Dates:
Monday, November 24 and Tuesday, November 25, 2025
Time:Â 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM (both days)
Property Access During Stage 1
From November 26 to December 19, 2025, Dickenson Road will reopen to one lane, with alternating two-way traffic in place.
Stage 2 – Temporary Road Closure
Dates:
November 26, 2025 to January 14, 2026
Location: Miles Road and Dickenson Road intersection
During this stage:
Dickenson Road west of Miles Road will be accessible from Upper James Street only.
