Upcoming Community Meetings: Two Urban Boundary Expansion Applications in Ward 11

Residents are invited to participate in important upcoming Community Meetings regarding proposed Urban Boundary Expansion applications for the Elfrida and White Church areas, located in southeast and south-central Hamilton.

The lands under discussion are currently outside the Urban Boundary. As a result, Urban Boundary Expansion applications have been submitted and are under review. These applications propose expanding beyond Hamilton’s current Urban Boundary, which would represent a departure from Council’s approved intensification strategy that plans for growth to remain within existing urban areas to 2051.

These sessions will provide information on both applications and explain the City's Urban Boundary Expansion review process as well as the impacts of potential development on the City.
