The City of Hamilton's Toys for Tickets program returns December 1 to 5, 2025, offering residents a meaningful way to give back to the community this holiday season.
How It Works
Residents can pay a City-issued parking ticket by donating a new, unwrapped toy of equal or greater value. All donations will go directly to United Way Halton and Hamilton, supporting children and families across the city.
Program Details
When: December 1-5, 2025
Where: 80 Main St. W (at Summers Lane)
Hours: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Requirements: Toys must be in original packaging with a receipt to confirm value
Eligibility: Only City-issued parking tickets are eligible. Other types of fines (such as speeding or red-light violations) are not eligible.
Making a Difference
Last year's pilot program turned 65 parking tickets into $4,841 in toy donations, spreading holiday joy to children across Hamilton. This year's program offers another opportunity for residents to turn an inconvenience into a chance to help local families.
By donating a toy instead of paying a parking ticket, residents support children and families in need while clearing their parking ticket obligation.
