Temp Lane Closure: August 27 – September 3, 2025
Residents and commuters are advised of upcoming temporary lane closures on Upper James Street to accommodate essential shouldering work. The project will take place over several phases from Wednesday, August 27 to Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Where:
Upper James Street (Northbound, Lane 2 - east side curb lane) between White Church Road and Dickenson Road East.
When:
2715 Upper James Street to 2575 Upper James Street (map)
Wednesday, August 27th, 2025 to Friday, August 29th, 2025 from 9 AM to 3 PM Daily
White Church Road East to 3449 Upper James Street (map)
Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 and Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025 from 9 AM to 3 PM Daily
What to Expect
During construction hours, drivers can expect:
Temporary lane reductions
Possible delays during peak travel times
Flagging personnel directing traffic as needed
Plan Ahead
We encourage residents to:
Allow extra travel time
Consider alternate routes where possible
Exercise patience and caution in construction zones
Follow all posted signage and traffic control measures
