The City of Hamilton is in the early stages of planning three new Community Recreation Centres — and one of them is coming to Ward 11 (Glanbrook).
As outlined in the City’s Recreation Master Plan, the growing communities of Glanbrook, Waterdown, and Winona have been identified as priority areas for new recreation facilities over the next 10 years. This is a major step forward for Ward 11, where residents have long called for more accessible, inclusive, and modern spaces to support health, wellness, and social connection.
A Recreation Centre for Glanbrook — Built With You in Mind
Before any designs are finalized, the City wants to hear directly from the people who will use these centres most. Residents across Ward 11 are invited to take part in a short online survey to help shape what this future community hub will look like.
Your feedback will help guide decisions about:
What types of spaces and programs are most needed
Accessibility and design considerations
What makes a recreation centre feel welcoming, vibrant, and reflective of our unique community
Why Your Input Matters
This is more than a building — it’s a chance to shape a space where neighbours gather, kids grow, families connect, and community thrives.
We are committed to transparency and meaningful community engagement throughout this process. By participating in this survey, you’re ensuring that Glanbrook’s new recreation centre is shaped by the people who call Ward 11 home.

📍 If you live in Glanbrook or anywhere in Hamilton, this is your opportunity to help shape the future.
The survey is open to all Hamilton residents, including those in Waterdown and Winona, who will also see new recreation centres in the coming years.
