On Thursday May 23rd, 2013 at 7pm, Councillor Brenda Johnson Invites you to a Community Meeting regarding the STONEY CREEK URBAN BOUNDARY EXPANSION (SCUBE). The meeting will be held at the Stoney Creek Municipal Building 777 Hwy #8 @ Jones Road.
In preparation for the City of Hamilton Planning Meeting on June 4th, City Staff have completed their final Report on the SCUBE Planning Process which is to determine the land uses (zoning) and the location of each land use for the SCUBE lands in the area bounded by Barton Street, south to Hwy #8 and Fruitland Road, east to almost Fifty Road. When completed, this large area is expected to see the population increase by up to 17,000 residents.
As your Councillor, I encourage you to attend this May 23rd Community Meeting to preview this final Staff report and its recommendations. City Staff will be present to respond to all aspects of their report. This is a local Community Meeting for residents to see in advance what Staff will present at the City of Hamilton Planning Committee Meeting for a decision on June 4th, 2013 at City Hall, 71 Main St W.
