Construction Notice for Contract C13-17-14, Cleaning, inspection and cured-in-place structural rehabilitation of existing Mainline Sewers, in the City of Hamilton

Dear Sir/Madam:

The City of Hamilton has a contract with LiquiForce Services Ontario Inc. to rehabilitate the existing sewer in your area. The sewer will be rehabilitated using a “No-Dig” sewer lining method performed by Insituform Technologies Inc. so there will be very few if any excavations required to complete this work. To facilitate this “No-Dig” method, some temporary restrictions to street parking may be required and, as such, your patience and co-operation will be appreciated.

Subject to weather conditions, the sewer rehabilitation is scheduled to take place within the next 1-4 weeks. For a day or so during the work, we may request your co-operation by restricting your sewage usage as much as possible. If your sewage usage will be affected by this work, a confirmation notice of the lining works will be hand delivered to your property 24 hours in advance of the anticipated rehabilitation works from Insituform.

SHOULD IT BE NECESSARY THAT YOU REQUIRE FULL USAGE OF YOUR SEWER ON THE LINING DATE, PLEASE CONTACT THE INSITUFORM OFFICE SO THAT ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE.

Please also note that this activity may result in working into the evening hours so that all sewer connections from the houses are reinstated into the City’s sewer. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your patience while we complete the rehabilitation.
