VIP ticket option – only 100 VIP tickets available each day. VIP ticket includes exclusive access to air conditioned viewing areas, the outside observation deck (note: deck is accessible only by stairs), barbeque, cash bars, meet and greet with pilots and VIP parking. $99.99 each.
DETAILS:UPDATE (June 16) – Due to a mechanical issue with Vintage Wing’s P-40, they will be substituting in their Lysander. This will be the first time to see two Lysanders in formation together in decades.
For our Father’s Day weekend this year, we offer an intimate event on the ramp at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Although not an airshow, there will be flying throughout the day featuring all of the Museum’s flying aircraft with support from specially invited guests. These guest aircraft will be of the historically significant and rare warbird variety. Confirmed are a P-51 Mustang and P-40 Kittyhawk from Vintage Wings of Canada, plus the Military Aviation Museum’s de Havilland Mosquito, Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane. Also confirmed are two privately owned T-28 Trojans.
Discounted member flight in Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum aircraft including the Cornell, Chipmunk, Stearman, Harvard, Expeditor and B-25 Mitchell will be available all weekend long. Member upgrades to flights are available on first come, first serve basis except the Lancaster which will be by advanced reservation. Helicopter rides will also be available for purchase.
On Saturday only at approximately noon, Faith Clarke Simms will make an official attempt to break the World Record for the Heaviest Vehicle pulled 100 ft – Women’s Category. Faith will attempt to pull a 20,000 lb. DC-3 Dakota for 100 ft. to break the current world record of 17,000 lb! Faith encourages those coming out to cheer her on to bring non-perishable food items in support of The Hamilton Dream Center’s food bank.
We are limited to only 2000 tickets per day due to limited parking spaces. PURCHASE YOUR TICKET EARLY AS WE HOPE TO SELL OUT. Please remember, this is not the Hamilton Airshow, but Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Skyfest.
