In the upcoming month there are three meetings occurring that may be of interest to you as they may have an impact locally.
On March 31, 2015 there is a City Public Meeting pertaining to the proposed amendments to the Rural Hamilton Official Plan and Hamilton Zoning By-law No. 05-200 to implement Draft Rural Zoning.
From April 7 to April 9, 2015, the City is hosting Consultation Greenbelt Sessions which are being held to collect feedback on four plans that the Province is currently reviewing.
And finally, the Province is having a Regional Town Hall Greenbelt Meeting on April 16, 2015 to get public input on the provincial plans.
City residents are invited to have their say on these changes that can have a local impact. Please see below information and dates for the meetings:
Public Meeting pertaining to the proposed amendments to the Rural Hamilton Official Plan and Hamilton Zoning By-law No. 05-200 to implement the Draft Rural Zoning. What: The purpose of this public meeting is for Planning Committee to receive public comments, as required by the Planning Act, on the Draft Rural Zones and Official Plan Changes. The Planning Committee will not be making a decision at this meeting. When: Tuesday March 31, 2015

City Consultation Sessions The City is running a series of consultation sessions across the city to engage the public and collect feedback on four plans that the Province of Ontario is currently reviewing that relate to land use and growth: What: The Province is undertaking a coordinated review of the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, Greenbelt Plan, Oak Ridges Moraine Conservation Plan and the Niagara Escarpment Plan. In response, City of Hamilton staff will be undertaking public consultations to obtain land owner, resident and business input on the provincial plans that impact Hamilton, specifically: • The Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe; • The Greenbelt Plan; and, • The Niagara Escarpment Plan When: Tuesday, April 7, 2015
