Request a Free Street Tree or Report a Tree Concern

Information on street-tree requests, maintenance and sightline concerns

Hamilton’s Planting Our Future program allows residents to request a free street tree.

To request a tree, visit hamilton.ca/trees or call 905-546-CITY (2489).

If a City-owned tree requires maintenance, or if branches or overgrowth are obstructing a road, sidewalk, traffic sign or sightline, report the location to the City or email our office. Include a photo where it is safe to do so.

Clear sightlines matter for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians, and trees remain an important part of healthy neighbourhoods.
