We had to relocate some programs as the new Winona Public School wasn’t ready to accomodate the recreation programs right away, but everything has now been accommodated within the community. Please see the programs below and make sure that you and your children are registered asap.
John Knox Christian School (795 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek) will operate on Tuesday evenings starting January 10th. Registered Programs are Kinder Sports Mix 6-6:45 pm (Ages 4-5), Basketball 7-8 pm (Ages 6-10), Adult Volleyball 8:15-9:30 pm (Ages 18+)
Stoney Creek Community Church (605 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek) will operate on Thursday evenings starting January 12th. Registered Programs are Creative Comicing 6-7 pm (Ages 7-14), Drawing for Kids 7:10-8:10 pm (Ages 7-14), Pilates 8:15-9:15 pm (Ages 18+), Yoga 6:30-8 pm (Ages 18+)
Stoney Creek Community Church (605 Hwy 8, Stoney Creek) will operate on Saturday mornings starting January 14th. Registered Programs are Creative Movement (Ages 3-5) 9-9:30 am, 9:35-10:05 am, and 10:10-10:40 am; Ballet (Ages 5-6) 10:40-11:25 am.
The challenge that we faced with locations in Winona is that the Recreation Division is not permitted to use the “old” Winona school at 255 Winona Road and the Board of Education is not taking outside bookings for the new Winona Public School yet. As a result, we had programs to offer but no facility to offer them. Fortunately, I was able to book John Knox Christian School for the gym programs and then able to find space at the Stoney Creek Community Church for the fitness, dance and art programs
