Rain Ready Hamilton — Rebates for Stormwater-Friendly Landscaping

The Rain Ready Hamilton program, administered by Green Venture in partnership with the City of Hamilton, offers residents rebates of up to $5,000 to install landscaping features that manage rainwater on their property.
Whether you're looking to add a rain garden, permeable driveway, or rainwater collection system, the program helps make these upgrades affordable while improving your property's appearance and value.
Funding Tiers
Tier 1 — Up to $1,500 Rain gardens, rainwater collection and storage systems, bioswales, dry swales, soakaway pits, infiltration trenches, enhanced grass swales, perforated pipe systems, and projects at least 1m x 3m.
Tier 2 — Up to $5,000 Permeable paving (driveways, sidewalks, paths and/or patios), green roofs, downspout realignment in combination with other LID features, and comprehensive plans involving multiple features.
2026 Program Timeline
February–April: Webinar series, educational workshops and engagement
March 2: Applications open
April 17: Application deadline
May 4: All applicants notified
May 4–29: Virtual and in-person rebate coaching site visits
October 31: Project completion deadline
