The Disabled and Aged Regional Transit System (DARTS) is an independent, not-for-profit Corporation, which provides transportation for qualified seniors, older adults and persons with disabilities with mobility challenges, in accordance with its contract with the City of Hamilton.
The DARTS Board of Directors is currently accepting applications to its board to fill four (4) vacancies for the 2015-2016 year. Candidates are required to possess one or more of the following:
• an appreciation for the challenges faced by those with mobility issues • an understanding of the diverse community, equity and accessibility • a demonstrated experience of governance principles and practices • a familiarity with not-for-profit operations and community health programs.
If you are interested in offering your expertise serving on this governance-based board and in contributing to the continuous improvement of the DARTS service, please submit your resume to the following, on or before 4:30pm Thursday, April 2nd 2015, for consideration at the DARTS Annual General Meeting in June.
