If you have an old TV that you are looking to get rid of and nobody wants it, don’t put it into the garbage (landfill). We now have a bin at the transfer stations for you to put the TV’s in and they will be recycled. The same applies to Computers. TV’s are part of the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) through the Ontario Electronic Stewardship program. The program came into effect within the last month. All Television’s are recycled. There is a separate bin at all Community Recycling Centers for Televisions.
