About the Award

The Order of Hamilton recognizes individual Hamiltonians who have demonstrated exceptional voluntary contributions to community building and service within the City of Hamilton. This award honours those who give their time and energy to make our community stronger.

How to Nominate

Nominations can be submitted:

Online: hamilton.ca/OrderofHamilton

In-person: Forms are available at Hamilton City Hall, all Municipal Service Centres, and at any branch of the Hamilton Public Library.

Recognition Event

Recipients will be honoured at the Mayor's New Year's Levee in January 2026. Full event details will be shared in December.
