Many trees along Homestead Drive in Mount Hope have recently been decimated. These mature trees were felled without permits or permission from the city and the developer responsible has been issued a cease and desist letter for all work on this property. Councillor Johnson is pushing for a tree replacement plan to be put in place at the cost of the developer.
The developer will be holding a meeting on August 30th at the 447 Wing starting at 7pm to explain his proposed ideas for his properties. As your local Councillor, Brenda Johnson will be attending this meeting and will continue to strongly speak out about the recent actions on this property. Please note this is meeting is being held by the developer, and not by the City.
Councillor Johnson encourages everyone to attend as well.
