PROPOSED BOUNDARY AND COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES FOR THE MOUNT HOPE/AIRPORT GATEWAY Opportunity for Public Input What? A Public Information Centre is being held to present the recommended boundary for the Mount Hope/Airport Gateway Community Improvement Project Area and the corresponding community improvement initiatives. A presentation will be made outlining the proposed boundary, the initiatives and the planning process. Attendees will be able to ask questions and offer feedback. The map below outlines the proposed Community Improvement Project Area. The initiatives include various financial incentive programs to support development and property improvements, as well as the future design and construction of gateway features. Public participation is a key component to the success of community improvement initiatives in the Mount Hope/Airport Gateway area. An amendment to the Downtown and Community Renewal Community Improvement Plan and the Project Area By-law is being prepared to establish the initiatives in Mount Hope. The meeting will be an opportunity to comment on the recommendations and provide input to the staff report prior to a future public meeting of the Planning Committee when Committee will consider approval of the required amendments.
