Local Business Gives Back to Community

Home Depot 2

The Hamilton Mountain Home Depot Store #7256 gave back to the Binbrook community today by volunteering their time and resources for some much needed upgrades at the Binbrook Community Garden. The team, which included Dewalt Representative Mark Cooper, spent the day building picnic tables and creating garden plots within the community garden. They also supplied the garden with new gardening tools and wheelbarrows. Thank you to Home Depot and all of the volunteers who worked so hard on this project.

The Binbrook Community garden is located at 4280 Binbrook Road and is a not for profit volunteer driven garden. The city provides the space and plots can be rented (to help with upkeep of the gardens) to grow and harvest your own produce for personal use. They also have plots dedicated to growing fresh produce for the local food bank. If you are interested in renting a plot or volunteering with the gardens please contact Keith Adams at 905-692-4000.
