Great news for our community! The long-awaited Glancaster Road shoulder paving project is finally getting underway. I have been working diligently to advance this important infrastructure improvement for all the residents who have requested safe pedestrian access to walk to Garner Road for school, bus stops, and other essential destinations.
Construction Notice
Please be advised of an upcoming temporary lane occupancy on Glancaster Road for shoulder paving operations.
Location: Glancaster Road, from Grassyplain Drive to Garner Road
Schedule:
Start Date: Monday, August 11th, 2025
Hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily
Duration: Approximately 10 days
Traffic Information:
Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the paving work
Soft road closure will be in place during asphalt paving operations
Minor delays are expected during construction hours
Please note: This work is weather-dependent and may be adjusted accordingly
Community Impact
This shoulder paving project represents a significant improvement to pedestrian safety and accessibility in our area. Once completed, residents will have a much safer route for walking to Garner Road, benefiting students, transit users, and all community members who travel on foot in this corridor.
I want to thank the residents who brought this need to my attention and for their patience as we worked through the process to make this project a reality. Your advocacy helps ensure our infrastructure serves the real needs of our community.
For any questions or concerns about this project, please don't hesitate to contact my office.
