If you're experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression, there’s a free mental health resource available that Ward 11 residents should know about.
The Ontario Structured Psychotherapy West Region (OSP West) is a publicly funded program delivered by St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. It offers cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to treat anxiety and depression - and it’s completely free. You can refer yourself online without needing a doctor’s referral.
What makes this program especially accessible is that it’s available regardless of income, employment status, or OHIP eligibility. That means even if you don’t have health coverage or are facing financial challenges, you can still access support.
Mental health services are often difficult to access due to long wait times, high costs, and referral requirements. OSP West helps remove those barriers by offering a self-referral option and no-cost care.
To learn more or refer yourself, visit ospwest.ca or call 905-387-8361.
