Open House & MEETINGS Coming Up! Elfrida Secondary Plan

The City of Hamilton has received a privately-initiated Official Plan Amendment application to establish a Secondary Plan for the Elfrida expansion lands (Stoney Creek and Glanbrook). The application was submitted by Bousfields Inc. on behalf of Elfrida Community Builders Group Inc. and was deemed complete on May 13, 2026.


A Secondary Plan is a long-range blueprint that guides how a community develops over time — setting out land uses, parks, schools, roads, and other key features for the area.


Ward 11 residents are encouraged to review the application and share their comments.

Application materials are available at hamilton.ca/UBE or in person at City Hall Planning Division (71 Main St W, 5th Floor), Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–4:30 pm.


Note: To preserve your appeal rights under the Planning Act, you must submit written comments or make oral submissions at a public meeting before the amendment is adopted. Members of the general public are not eligible to file appeals under Planning Act sections 17(24), 17(36), and 34(19) per Bill 185 (2024).
