Dickenson Road Tunnelling — Project Update
The Dickenson Road tunnelling project has been underway for some time now, and residents in the area know better than anyone what that means day to day — detours, dust, and patience. That hasn't gone unnoticed.
Here's where things stand.
Current Road Closures
Golf Club Road (east of Fletcher Road) — anticipated reopening February 2027
Golf Club Road at Trinity Church Road — anticipated reopening February 2027
Trinity Church Road at Dickenson Road — anticipated reopening January 2028
What's Still to Come
As tunnelling progresses west toward Upper James Street, additional closures will be implemented at each shaft location as work advances. Each closure remains in place until tunnelling, pipe installation, and road restoration are complete.
Impacts are expected to continue through 2027 and into early 2028.
Plan Accordingly
