The recent four Open Houses divided between Glanbrook and Winona had a good turnout. Residents were happy with the Open House concept of meeting as they enjoyed the ability to talk one on one with the Councillor. At the Glanbrook Open House, staff was also on hand to show concepts of the two new parks coming to the Village of Binbrook and they appreciated receiving comments from local residents. With Winona, residents were pleased to see the concept plans for the parkette at the north end of Fifty Road as well as the drawings for Seabreeze Park, both of which will be built this spring/summer. Winona residents were also interested in talking with Councillor Johnson about the SCUBE plans that were on display as well. Numerous general issues were raised and Councillor Johnson was pleased to respond to residents concerns. Snow clearing, taxation, planning, traffic concerns, the Pan Am Stadium, park upgrades and more community meetings seemed to top the list of issues raised. All in all, Councillor Brenda Johnson got a thumbs up and residents look forward to future meetings.
