On January 15th the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) held its Annual General Meeting of 2020 at the Ball’s Falls Centre for Conversation. During this meeting Councillor Brenda Johnson was elected as the Chair, and Board member for Grimbsy, Mr. Bruce Mackenzie was Elected as Vice- Chair.

Councillor Johnson had the following statement regarding her new elected position,

“I want to thank the Board of Directors for having the confidence in me and choosing me as their next leader in 2020. I am really looking forward to working with the amazing NPCA staff including former Chair Dave Bylsma, and former Vice-Chair Diana Huson. I want to thank you all for your hard work and getting us through a very challenging year. To our newly hired CAO Chandra Sharma, who comes to the NPCA with a huge menu of skillsets and qualifications, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority is blessed to have you on staff. On a personal note I am not interested in what happened in the past, we as a board dealt with that, I would now like to focus on today and what we will do tomorrow. Let’s get to work!”
