City of Hamilton – 2014 Budget Process

Listed below are the General Issues Committee meetings with respect to the 2014 budget.  Also, on Tues., Feb 25, 2014, Public Delegations are invited to appear before the General Isues Committee.  Details for all of the meetings are as follows and in the web calendar:

Anyone Interested in making a presentation on Tues., Feb., 25, 2014, is asked to pre-register as a delegation by no later than 4pm on Monday, Feb 24, by contacting:

Presentations are limited to 5 minutes.  Written submissions are welcomed and will be accepted by e-mail at the above-noted address, by fax at 905-546-2095, or by mail to the City Clerk’s Office, 1st Floor, 71 Main St W., Hamilton, Ont L8P 4Y5, up to and including the day prior to the meeting, for distribution to the members of the Committee.

The Council of the City of Hamilton intends to approve the 2014 Tax Operating Budget at the Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday march 26, 5pm., or at a later Council meeting if budget deliberations continue past this date.

The agendas for all meetings will be available for viewing on the City of Hamilton website ( under “2014 Budget” or at the City Clerk’s Office.  The agenda for each 2013 budget meeting will include reports in respect of the intems to be discussed.

Please be advised that additional meetings may be added to the schedule at any time, or existing meetings may be cancelled or rescheduled.  In addition, meeting agendas are frequently subject to change.  As such, you are advised to confirm and obtain additional information with respect to all budget meetings by regularly checking the City’s website or contacting the City Clerk’s Office.  Unless otherwise indicated, all meetings are held in the Council Chamber, Halmitlon City Hall.
