Honoring Hamilton's Unsung Heroes: A Night to Remember at the 2024 Senior of the Year Awards
It was an inspiring evening at this year’s Senior of the Year Awards! I was truly honored to be surrounded by so many dedicated and compassionate senior volunteers who contribute so much to our city. These incredible individuals are the backbone of our community, giving their time and talents to countless organizations and causes. I was lucky enough to be able to present awards to Paula Kilburn for the Ron Smithson Leadership Award and Leslie (Les) Lasky for the Bernie Morelli Lifetime Achievement Award.
Special recognition also goes to Glanbrook Community Services volunteer Susan Dance for her nomination for the Senior of the Year Award. Susan has been an icon at Glanbrook Community Services for the past six years and I was thrilled to see her amongst the 19 nominees in recognition of her years of service.
Congratulations to all nominees and award recipients – your commitment to Hamilton is truly remarkable!
