Great news for Glanbrook
MP Dean Allison, on behalf of the Honourable Gary Goodyear, Minister for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), today announced the City of Hamilton will receive funding through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program for projects in Binbrook and Mount Hope.
$270,563 for upgrading Binbrook’s Memorial Hall which was built in 1920. It is a living memorial to our veterans. A south addition built in1967 was the former council chambers. It is home to many community organizations.
$270,253 for upgrading the Mount Hope Hall which was built in 1904 as the Glanford Hall – home to the Glanford council until 1979. It presently houses the Mount Hope Library and many community organizations.
