BINBROOK PARKETTE PUBLIC ART PROJECT

Public Consultation – WHAT IS YOUR OPINION?

 The City of Hamilton is currently conducting a public art competition to select a work of public art for the new Binbrook Parkette to be constructed this spring on the Northeast corner of Binbrook Road and Highway 56.

 A jury of volunteer citizens, artists and local heritage representatives has reviewed six artists’ submissions and has short-listed three. Before they make their final decision we want to provide them with your opinions and comments.

 “Apples and Pears”  Artist:  Ernest Daetwyler

“Spanning the Ages”  Artist:  Dan Davelaar  The Rogue Stonecutter

 “Sunvane”  Structure and Maze Plaza  Artist:  Vilnis Cultural Design Works

You can review the competition theme, view the 3 artists’ proposals, select your preferred proposal and provide your comments as follows:

 In person at:  The Binbrook Branch of the Hamilton Public Library, 2641 Highway 56 Binbrook, Ontario.  Hours: Monday and Wednesday 10:00 am – 8:00PM.  Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
