Binbrook Fall Fair “Rooted In The Country”

The 157th Binbrook Fair will be September 16th, 17th & 18th, 2011. It is a time for good old fashioned solid fun. The Fair Midway and Exhibition Halls open on Friday the 16th at 5pm and the Official Opening Parade will be at 7pm in front of the Grand Stand. Throughout the evening you can see the Gord Searle – Horsemanship show or listen the the Kelleys on the Main Stage at 6pm. Beer Gardens and at 8pm Canada’s #1 Demolition Derby kicks into gear. Parking is free on the Fairgrounds via the entrance off of Binbrook Road. Adults are $7.00 each and Children 12 yrs & under are Free. Saturday includes more shows by Gord Searle – Horsemanship, a Goat Show, Miniature Horse Show, The Ben Show (juggling, unicycling, stilt walking & balancing acts), a Reptile Show, Sunflower the Clown, a Pet Show, Guernsey Show, Milking Demo, Kicks Karate Demonstration and children’s games in building 4. There is also a Raptor Show, a Binbrook Idol Contest, Kelley’s on the Main Stage again, all Craft and Exhibition Halls are open and the Blackheath Binbrook Lions have a Beer Garden with food, Rides & Games run all day in the midway and numerous displays from various vendors. The evening ends with another night of Canada’s #1 Demolition Derby. Sunday is Family Day with Campbell’s Amusements having their Bracelet Special, Rid all you can from 11am to closing for $18.00. There is a Community Church Service & Pancake Breakfast from 10am to 12noon, Line Classes for Heavy Horses, 4-H Inter County Beef Cal Club Show, more of Gord Searle – Horsemanship, another Reptile Show, Sunflower the Clown, The Ben Show, the popular Baby Show at noon, Hitch classes for Heavy Horses, the Raptor Show, Beef Cattle & Sheep Show, Milking Demo, Heavy Horse Show & Roadsters, show by Broadway Bound Dance Studio, Horse Pullks, Sheep Shearing Demo, more Children’s Games, Beer Gardens, Commercial, Craft & Exhibition Halls close at 5:30 and the Quilt Draw is at 4pm. The weekend is packed full of Fun and a program outlining all of the above events with times and locations, is free with admission.
