Councillor Brenda Johnson invites you to attend the Open House on Thursday, March 27th, 2014 outlining the Master Plan works in progress for the Binbrook Conservation Area. This will be an Open House with display showing concepts and details about possible upgrades for the Conservation Area. Your input is needed to make the plan successful. The Conservation Authority is looking to the public to help them with their plan to upgrade and improve the site.
Some of what is currently offered includes swimming, a splash pad, playground equipment, pavilions, zip lining, fishing both summer & winter, non-motorized boating, a boat launch, kayak & canoe rentals, beach volleyball, walking paths, look out areas, beautiful views, naturalized areas and a peaceful relaxed atmosphere. You can also plan your special events on site by reserving a pavilion.
The Master Plan will determine what the future holds for the Binbrook Conservation Area. It is a plan that will be implemented over a number of years. Some items will be done quickly and the more costly items will be planned over a period of time. Public input is key and knowing what you would support is important.
If you are a regular visitor to the Binbrook Conservation, come out and see what is proposed and give your thoughts and suggestions. If you haven’t visited yet, then drop by and see sketches of the conservation area and voice your thoughts about what is being proposed.
As the local ward Councillor, Brenda will be attending this event and encourages you to do so as well. Let’s help the committee with their planning by letting them know what we think.
The meeting/open house will be held on Thursday, March 27th, 2014, from 6pm to 9pm at the Glanbrook Municipal Building, 4280 Binbrook Road (next to the Arena & Soccer Fields).
(The Binbrook Conservation Area is located on Lake Niapenco. The main entrance is on Harrison Road, just west of Hwy #56 and south of the Village of Binbrook.)
