Annual Fall Garden & Mum Show kicks off this weekend

The City of Hamilton is inviting residents and visitors to the Gage Park Greenhouses between Friday, October 22 and Sunday, October 31 to celebrate 101 years of the Fall Garden & Mum Show.

The theme this year is, “A Walk Down Memory Lane” where visitors will enjoy various floral displays inspired by themes of years past, including “Mums & Steel”, “Once Upon a Toy” and “A Walk in the Woods”.

The Mum Show is an amazing floral display created by the City’s talented horticulture team. The whole family can enjoy this breathtaking display of over 200 varieties of chrysanthemums, and more than 100,000 blooms.

Admission is free, but visitors are encouraged to reserve tickets online in order to secure entry to the show. Masks or face coverings are required and public health guidelines will be in effect. Members of the public are reminded that proof of vaccination and valid ID are required under provincial direction.

Visitors are also reminded that as part of the Gage Park Walkway Improvements project, some portions of the main walkway loop will not be accessible during construction, however, access to the Gage Park Greenhouse via Lawrence Rd will be available throughout the duration of the show. Details of this work can be found at www.hamilton.ca/gagepark.
