Each year the City of Hamilton gives away free compost for your lawn, garden, and plants.
Each week throughout the year the city picks up your yard waste as part of the curbside yard waste collection program. After it’s picked up, they process it and turn it into nutrient-rich compost.
The compost is free, however a voluntary donation to Hamilton Food Share is encouraged and appreciated.
What you need to know -bring your own buckets, shovel, and elbow grease -the compost is for residential use only -available while quantities last
