Winona Neighbourhood Watch

Over the last number of months a group of dedicated community members have been organizing a Winona wide Neighbourhood Watch group. The group was formed in an effort to bring the community together to help deter crime and vandalism in Winona Neighbourhoods. Last year Councillor Johnson held a local community meeting that included the police giving an overview about local policing and what residents can do to prevent crime in their neighbourhoods. There was a lot of support for creating a local community watch program and a small group stepped forward to take the lead and start the process. Brenda was recently advised that representatives from the group plan to be on hand at the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 31st at Winona Park. Come out and meet them and find out more about the Winona neighbourhood Watch. Councillor Johnson would like to thank this local group of residents for their hard work and efforts in creating a local neighbourhood watch.
